Belarus president commends 13 Belarusians

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed a resolution to issue commendations for 13 Belarusians from various walks of life, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian head of state. 

Commendations for exemplary service and a considerable personal contribution to boosting Belarus’ defense capacity were awarded to Commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces, Major General Vadim Denisenko and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces – Chief of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff Major General Pavel Muraveiko. 

Representatives of organizations affiliated with the Labor and Social Security Ministry were commended for many years of fruitful work and a significant personal contribution to implementing the government social security policy. They include head of the Tolochin District Branch of the Vitebsk Oblast Department of the Social Security Fund Galina Kravchenko and head of the Krichev Inter-District Branch of the Mogilev Oblast Department of the State Labor Inspectorate Aleksandr Lenevich. 

Commendations were also issued for Director of Pruzhany Linen Mill Nikolai Zhogal and Director of Beryoza Feed Mill Mikhail Kozeka for many years of hard work and great performance, as well as a substantial personal contribution to the agricultural industry. 

Representatives of the Belarusian Union of the Afghanistan War Veterans – Deputy Chairman of the Frunzensky District Branch of Minsk Igor Lazuka and Chairman of the Shchuchin District Branch Artur Misyuk – were awarded for many years of public work and services to the veteran movement. 

The president’s commendations were also issued for employees of Belarusian Railways -  locomotive driver from Molodechno Viktor Borisevich and foreman from Mogilev Sergei Shkredov for dedicated work, exceptional professionalism and services to the railway transportation industry. 

Head of the Philosophy and Methodology Chair of Belarusian State University Anatoly Zelenkov and Dean of the History, Communications and Tourism Faculty of Yanka Kupala Grodno State University Tamara Pivovarchik were commended for their services to education and a considerable personal contribution to training highly-qualified specialists. Director of the Institute of History at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vyacheslav Danilovich was commended for many years of research work and services to science, for the study, preservation and promotion of Belarus’ historical and cultural heritage.
