Rosselkhoznadzor launches inspection of companies in Minsk Oblast, Mogilev Oblast

MINSK, 2 May (BelTA) – Specialists of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor) have launched an inspection of the companies in Minsk Oblast and Mogilev Oblast, Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister, Director of the Veterinary and Food Surveillance Department Alexander Subbotin told BelTA.

“Rosselkhoznadzor specialists came to Belarus yesterday. The inspection is expected to last through 5 May,” Alexander Subbotin said, adding that two teams of experts had come to Belarus.

According to the deputy minister, the list of companies due to be inspected has not been coordinated yet. “In the evening our Russian counterparts will inform us what companies they are going to visit next day,” he noted adding that it can be any companies that process milk, meat and fish.

Rosselkhoznadzor’s previous inspection was conducted in Belarus in April and lasted for nine days. Five groups of expects inspected 18 companies. As a result, restrictions were lifted from two Belarusian companies: Veles-Mit and Babushkina Krynka.
