Belarus discusses expansion of cooperation in Argentina, Uruguay

MINSK, 12 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian delegation led by Chairman of the Board of the National Bank Pavel Kallaur paid a visit to Argentina and Uruguay on 7-11 March. The goal of the visit was to consider ways to develop trade, economic and political cooperation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In Argentina, the Belarusian delegation held talks in the Central Bank, the National Congress, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Production, the Development Bank of Latin America, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the Bank of the Argentine Nation. The business part of the delegation, which included top managers of such Belarusian enterprises as BelAZ, Gomselmash, Belshina, Belkommunmash Bulbash) participated in the business forum and made a presentation of the Belarusian products to the Argentinian business.

During the visit to Uruguay the Belarusian delegation held negotiations in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Central Bank, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, with the administration of the Zonamerica Business and Technology Park. During the Belarus-Uruguay Business Forum hosted by the Investment and Export Promotion Institute Uruguay XXI the Belarusian machine building and food exporters held the consultations with potential Uruguayan partners.
