Belarus, France eager to step up practical cooperation between universities

discussed ways to expand practical cooperation between the universities of Belarus and France, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Education Ministry.

The sides outlined the top-priority avenues of cooperation in education, among them French classes in Belarusian schools and the expansion of practical cooperation between Belarusian and French higher education institutions. The main fields of cooperation between universities include exchange of experience in and information on new foreign language teaching technologies, launch of short-term mobility programs for students and teachers, and participation of Belarusian and French specialists in international educational events held in the two countries.

As of today, the Belarusian higher education institutions have more than 25 cooperation agreement with French universities. In this regard, the most active schools are Belarusian State University, Gomel State University, Minsk State Linguistic University, Brest State Technical University, Belarusian State Technological University, Belarusian State Economic University, Belarusian National Technical University, Belarusian State Pedagogical University, and Belarusian State Academy of Music.

The Belarusian Education Ministry has accepted an invitation to the Ministerial Conference on the European Higher Education Area and the Bologna Process due in Paris from 23 to 25 May.
