16 athletes from the Mogilev region won licenses to participate in the Tokyo Olympics

There are only a few days left before the Tokyo Olympics. It will take place from 23 July to 8 August. It is planned to compete for 339 sets of medals. The athletes of the Mogilev region will also fight for them. 16 athletes from the Mogilev region won licenses to participate in the Olympics.

According to the Department of Sports and Tourism of the Mogoblispolkom as of July 8, these are:

- boxing - Alexander Radionov;

- female wrestling - Vanessa Kolodinskaya, Irina Kurochkina;

- rowing and canoeing - Vladislav Litvinov, Nadezhda Makarchenko;

- judo - Dmitry Minkov;

- athletics - Nina Savina, Kristina Timanovskaya, Anna Terlyukevich, Dmitry Nabokov, Julia Bliznets;

- swimming - Nikita Tsmyg;

- modern pentathlon - Ilya Polozkov;

- archery - Anna Marusova, Karina Deminskaya;

- weightlifting - Daria Naumova.

In general, as noted by the Minister of Sports of Belarus Sergei Kovalchuk, about 260 athletes in 26 sports entered the fight for Olympic licenses. As a result, there will be just over 100 of them.
