Success of cooperation between Mogilev Oblast of Belarus and Mongolia depends on mutual commitment to joint work in various areas, Mogilev Oblast Governor Anatoly Isachenko said as he summed up the meeting with a delegation of Mongolia, BelTA has learned.

Mogilev is hosting a delegation from Bulgan Province of Mongolia. It includes the governor, representatives of agriculture, culture, specialists in supply and food, heads of districts and entrepreneurs.

"We are committed to cooperation. The more countries with which we cooperate, the higher the result our economy will show. For example, in 2020, trade between Mogilev Oblast and Mongolia amounted to $179,000, in 2021 it hit almost $1.6 million, and in January-September of this year, this figure approached $2.7 million. In order to promote export, we need to step up cooperation in all areas," he said. “This applies to both industry and agriculture. After all, agriculture is very well-developed in Belarus, we are ready to share experience, our achievements and results, and best practices with Mongolian specialists. Agriculture also means machinery, equipment and spare parts. Again, this will contribute to mutual trade and business growth."

Governor of Bulgan Province B. Ariun-Erdene noted that the agricultural sector is of particular interest for the Mongolian province. Being aware that Belarus has a well-developed agriculture, especially Mogilev Oblast, we came to visit. You have highly professional specialists in agriculture. This means that we can work in this direction," he stressed.
