Minister: Modernization is designed to facilitate emergence of commercially successful products

Modernization is designed to facilitate the emergence of products in demand on the market, Belarusian Economy Minister Aleksandr Chervyakov said as he toured Mogilev Oblast, BelTA learned from the press service of the Economy Ministry.

The minister held remote office hours in the Gorki District Executive Committee, visited Molochnye Gorki dairy, Goretsky Food Plant. Aleksandr Chervyakov also inspected the progress in the investment project to produces sanitary and hygienic papers at the Shklov factory Spartak in furtherance of the Belarusian president's "One district - one project" instruction. The minister also visited the newsprint mill that is implementing an import-substituting and export-oriented project to manufacture offset, coated and label paper.

“Sought-after products with high added value should appear on the market as a result of modernization. Thanks to the refinement of the production technology we will start producing thin offset paper. It is very important that we obtain raw materials locally, at the Svetlogorsk Pulp and Board Mill. Thus, we are putting together a new cooperation chain of deep processing of timber into high-margin products. We expect a significant effect from these projects not only for a particular enterprise, but also for the pulp and paper industry and the country's economy as a whole," Aleksandr Chervyakov emphasized.
