Venezuela interested in educational projects with Belarus
Venezuela president's special envoy Adan Chavez Frias visited Belarusian State University (BSU) and met with its rector Andrei Korol in Minsk on 7 October, BelTA learned form the press service of the university
The guest shared his first impressions of the Belarusian university, highlighting the pleasant atmosphere and harmony in the design of BSU. "There is a sense that students are eager to learn and professors to teach," said Adan Chavez Frias.
For his part, the rector spoke about the educational and scientific activities of the university and suggested establishing cooperation in these areas. Adan Chavez Frias noted that the interest in this proposal is high and, possibly, Venezuelan citizens will be able to enroll in BSU soon. The special envoy made an entry in the book of distinguished guests expressing hope for stronger relations between Venezuela and the university.
Adan Chavez Frias gave a lecture "Ideas of Bolivar and Chavez Today" for international students of BSU. He spoke about the ideological views of Hugo Chavez, his activities and political views. The guest also talked about his university years, teaching career and answered questions from students.
The visit to Belarusian State University took place within the framework of the official visit of the Venezuelan delegation to Belarus.
