Belarusian Belavia to launch first flight to India on 11 August
The Belarusian air company Belavia will operate a regular air service to India, BelTA learned from the airline's press service
The first flight will be launched on 11 August. Initially, flights between Minsk and Delhi will be operated weekly (on Fridays). From 20 September, the airline intends to increase the frequency of flights to twice a week: flights from capital of the Belarus will be operated on Wednesdays, from Delhi - on Thursdays.
The flight will depart from Minsk at 20.25, and arrive in Delhi at 05.35 (flight time will be 6 hours 40 minutes). The return flight will leave Delhi at 06.55 and arrive in Minsk at 11.40 (flight time will be 7 hours 15 minutes).
A one-way ticket is from €319, a two-way ticket - from €569 (SMART tariff, with a luggage). More information about the fares and tickets is available on the airline's website, Belavia mobile application and ticket sales offices and agents.
According to Belavia Director General Igor Cherginets, a direct regular service with Delhi is a truly historic event. "I hope that the launch of the service will contribute to the strengthening of relations between the two countries in various fields. I am also sure that this flight will facilitate the growth of transit traffic through National Airport Minsk. The flight will be in demand among tourists and students who study in Belarus," he stressed.
