Lukashenko: Belarus is ready to set up more joint ventures with Kazakhstan

Belarus is ready to expand cooperation with Kazakhstan when it comes to creating joint ventures, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Belarus Yerlan Baizhanov in Minsk on 4 March, BelTA has learned.

“We have solid joint ventures that manufacture combine harvesters, tractors, and elevators. We plan to keep promoting our technologies and to use them to set up joint ventures in Kazakhstan and Belarus. We are ready to provide support to you at any time. Whatever you ask us for in Belarus will be immediately implemented. We are ready to step up our cooperation in launching joint ventures,” the head of state said.

At present, 55 enterprises with Kazakh capital are registered in Belarus, including 17 joint ventures and 38 foreign companies. Belarusian enterprises run more than 170 entities of the commodity distribution network  in Kazakhstan. Projects are underway to jointly produce tractors, agricultural machinery, vehicles and trailers, fire and rescue equipment, as well as elevator equipment.
