Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Georgian people
On behalf of Belarusian people and himself, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated the people of Georgia on Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.“From time immemorial, the peoples of Belarus and Georgia have been connected by shared values based on historical Christian traditions, true love for the Fatherland and a strong desire to live and work on their land,” the message of congratulations reads.
The head of state expressed confidence that such spiritual closeness, a sense of understanding, goodwill and sincerity in present-day relations will help resume full-fledged interaction in all areas soon.
“I am convinced that the political maturity of the civil society, the wisdom and the iron-strong will of the Georgian people, and most importantly, the interest in maintaining stability in our common region will help us successfully overcome all existing contradictions,” the president emphasized.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the Georgian people peace, perseverance and courage while strengthening their statehood.
