Belarus, Ecuador seek closer inter-parliamentary ties

MINSK, 24 May (BelTA) – Belarus and Ecuador have reaffirmed mutual interest in building up inter-parliamentary relations. The matter was discussed at a meeting between Speaker of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko and Vice President of the National Assembly of Ecuador Carlos Bergmann, BelTA learned from the press service of the parliament.

Vladimir Andreichenko has arrived in Ecuador to attend the inauguration ceremony for Ecuador President-elect Lenin Moreno. The speaker was met at the airport by Carlos Bergmann. “The parties reaffirmed the mutual interest in the further expansion of the Belarusian-Ecuadorian inter-parliamentary relations,” the press service said.

The Belarusian speaker will stay in Quito through 27 May.
